Project Fashion Fixed 2025 is here! Throughout the month of April and May we are running exciting, free creative events and we want you to be part of them! It doesn't matter what you study, whether you're in sixth form, collage or university, and whether your course is in English, Art, Geography or anything in between. If you're interested in creative thinking and global issues, you're welcome to join!
We are kicking things off on Tuesday 25th March, 2025 with an introductory session where you will learn more about the project, meet the team and other creatives and explore how fashion shapes the world! After this there will be a zine making workshop which we hope will encourage talking, collaboration and some creativity for everyone. Our next three sessions will continue to expand knowledge of the fashion world and we will also follow up by a creative workshop!

Materials is the first teaching session where we look at what our clothes are really made from, including cotton, hemp, polyester and more. The talk will be followed by a sewing workshop hosted by the lovely Carol, who has helped out on the project before. We will also have a small panel discussion from some previous Project Fashion Fixer's who have all taken part in the project previously! Our second teaching session is all about the people behind our clothes, including cotton farmers, garment workers and industry wide issues. This will be followed by a jam session by two amazingly talented musicians, Sam and Veronika and a crochet workshop by Sam! The third and final teaching session focuses on what happens when we don't want our clothes anymore where we dial into places like Ghana and Chile to see the real impacts on communities and our globe. Accompanied by writer Andrew Falconer, who will guide participants through a cycle of your favourite piece of clothing!
This is just the beginning so make sure to join us for thought provoking discussions, hands-on creative sessions! It will be a fresh take on how fashion intersects with the world we live in! It is FREE to attend, just bring yourself and an open mind! We have so much more planned, so keep your eyes peeled.
See you there!
